Shipping Information:
We have made shipping easy for you while making sure you get the best possible price. Big Fitness offers three ways to ship: UPS, USPS Parcel Post and Common Carrier curbside delivery.
If you choose USPS Parcel Post, please allow 21 days for delivery.
About Common Carrier Delivery:
Common Carrier trucks stop at the curb. You must move the equipment off of the truck and into your home or business.
For large pieces (single items over 300 lbs), we recommend tailgate service. Please call for more information on this service.
Additional shipping charges apply to residents outside the 48 contiguous states and other countries.

Reconditioning Information:
Remanufacturing the Stairmasters
Prep Work
- First, we strip all components down to the frame and handle bar assembly.
- Then we check the pedal shafts to see if they are worn. If they are worn, we weld on a new shaft to ensure a tight fit for the pedal arms
- We then send the frame, handles, pedal arms and stabilizer bars out to be painted. This process takes about 2 weeks.
- When the parts return from being painted, we replace both bushings in the pedal arms and the single bushing in the stabilizer bar.
- We clean and armor all the side covers, and leg levelers. We also clean or replace the pulleys and pedals.
- We then check the alternator brushes, if worn we replace with new brushes.
- The transmission and the hub assembly (one-way gear) are checked thoroughly and the pieces are cleaned up or replaced if need be.
- The shaft and the both bearings are replaced in the hub assembly with brand new parts.
- The chain is also replaced with a brand new chain, and the springs are cleaned up and if worn they get replaced.
- After receiving the frame, we start by attaching the four leg levelers, the pedal arms and the stabilizer bars.
- Then we replace both shock mounts with brand new ones. The shock mounts are the rubber stoppers that prevent the pedal assembly from hitting the frame.
- Next, we attach the pulleys to the frame, connect the pedals to the pedal arms and connect the spring to the chain. This completes the pedal assembly.
- Once the pedal assembly is complete, we connect the hub assembly (one way gear) using all new hardware. When the hub assembly is connected we then attach the chain to both sides of the hub bearing and then attach the spring to the side of the frame.
- We then connect the drive train; we start by mounting the transmission with new hardware. Next, we connect the alternator to the frame, and connect the chain from the hub assembly to the transmission. Then we connect the capacitor to the frame using new hardware.
- The drive train is now complete. The next step is to tension the alternator belt, and connect the capacitor and main wiring harness to the alternator.
- The handle bars are attached next, we start by tightening the four nuts and bolts on the handle mounts. We then put new 29” grips on the handles. After the grips are on, we add both handle inserts to the bottom of the handles and tighten the handles to the frame using ¼-20 x 2” bolts. Once those bolts are tight to the frame, we re-tighten the handle mount bolts. We then connect the top console.
- We then run several tests to the machine such as connecting the power supply and testing the alternator, the transmission, the top console and the wiring harness. If everything passes the tests we move on, if not then we replace whatever necessary to get the machine to 100% working condition.
- We then attach the side panels to the frame, also for your convenience we add a state of the art sweat guard that is designed to shield your sweat from getting under the side panels and eventually rusting the frame. The machine does not come from Stairmaster with this guard; it is an added feature we provide to ensure the life of your machine.
- For your safety we also add a 4” x 7” piece of non-skid tape on the bottom of the frame to avoid theslipping of the machine.
- We the put on the finishing touches on you machine. This includes checking all LED’s (Light Omitting Diodes), replacing the top console faceplate. Clean and armor all the sweat guard, side panels, and the rest of the machine.
- Lastly we check the power supply and run the machine again checking the resistance levels and the programs.
- Now your Stairmaster 4000PT is ready to be shipped to you.
Remanufacturing Cycles
- Our reconditioned cycles are warranted for 90 days parts, 30 days labor and lifetime 1-800 technical support from Big Fitness.
- You may ask, how do we recondition our bikes and cycles? For
example a LifeCycle, our most popular bike.
- We have over 300 bikes in stock, we take multiple machines apart and use the best parts.
- The machine being sold is totally disassembled.
- It is detailed inside and out.
- All worn parts are replaced or repaired, all broken parts are replaced or fixed.
- Plastic shells are cleaned as good as we can get them, and we replace or cover over the plastic tape emblems or stripes.
- We fix any in the shells with hot glue and plastic backing for support. Any shells that are beyond repair are thrown away.
- We put the machine back together piece by piece.
- All Lifecycles get a new faceplate, Other bikes get one if they need one.
- The bike is tested and shipped out.
We try and get the machine as good as new.

Refund / Returns Information:
General Merchandise Return Policy
Your satisfaction is guaranteed for all purchases. If you are not satisfied with an item, you may exchange it or receive a refund
for the merchandise within 31 days of the original invoice date, provided all the terms defined in Directions for Returns are
complied with.

If you are not 100% Satisfied within 31 days you may return your purchase. The item(s) must be within big fitness's possession

department. The item must be returned in the same package with no damage. Shipping charges back to Big Fitness are the
responsibility of the customer. If you need help returning
the product please call us.
When we receive your product back we will refund you within seven days.
No returns on gloves, belts, dumbbells, plates, books, software and videos.
Refund and Return Policy is only valid for non commercial/Gym purchases special order and custom items are also exempt.
Damaged Products
If you experience any problems when receiving your product, like damage in shipping, always accept the shipment and mark it damaged. Big Fitness will file claims for you against the shipper, send you out a new piece and pick up the old.
Directions for Returns
Call us at 1888-292-1807 ext 3008 No returns will be accepted without an RMA number. All returned products must be in the same condition that they were received and in the original packaging. Please hold on to all packaging, instruction manuals, etc. until you are sure that you are happy with the products you have purchased.
- We reserve the right to replace damaged parts and not the entire product.
- Please note that return shipping charges are not included in the refund and it is your responsibly to pay for return shipping.
- If you return a product damaged or not in the original box it is subject to a 25% restocking fee.
- It is recommended that you use a shipping
carrier that requires a
signature for proof of delivery.
Pricing Errors.
Big Fitness is not liable for pricing errors.
If you place an order for a product that was incorrectly priced, we
will put your order on hold and contact you to obtain authorization for
additional charges. At that time you will have the option to cancel
your order. In the event that we inadvertently ship an order based on a
pricing error, we will issue a revised invoice to you for the correct
price and contact you to obtain your authorization for the additional
charge, or assist you with return of the product.
