I am a very experienced heavy lifter (20+ years), who is constantly pushing for more, so when I saw this I had to have it. Unlike other home gyms I have used, this leverage system simulates free weight exercises precisely. I give the squat and calf raise station 5 stars, perfect. The bench press station also receives 5 stars, it does decline! The lat / ab crunch station does need some tuning as it did take me a few times to get used to the ab crunch. The lat station does not have anything to strap you down for heavier lifting. The leg extension is not set up for a taller person, however the preacher which is also an attachment for the same seat is great- really isolates the bi`s. The attachment for low rows is also made for a shorter person, so I made a 8" extension pad that fits in between. For the price and foot print it is perfect. It fits on one side of my two car garage with space to spare. My only complaint is that there is no leg curl!

Excellent Machine. I bought it yesterday and set it up in my Florida room. Never seen something that resembles working out on free weights, this good and sturdy. BTW, I bought it on craigslist from a guy who had bought it a couple of months ago. It came with the weights too which are not included in the machine.

ive had this machine for about 4 months and it`s design is well thought out as I used to build and use similar equipment 30 years ago all 3" stock for the heavy duty I haven`t lifted in 23 years til now starting with a bowflex which I didn`t like this takes up my whole florida room but thats ok because tu ing 62 next weds. I`m just as strong at my age as I was when I lifted 23 yrs ago and for doing leg lifts without handles use the chest pad to stabilize yourself and I talked to the company and they do have a vidio that should be out by now

I`m a high school athlete and I`ve had this for four months and I love it. This is worth every penny. And I`m only 5`2`` so the bench is a little high for my feet.

I just bought this friggin this and its the best thing since cheese grits. I don`t need any other piece of equipment. I can work every body part to the bone. I am 5.10 240pounds of muscle and this thing is all that I need to keep improving. I am questioning if I will need dumbells--honestly, this thing is awesome.......

Ive been weight training for the better part of 20 years. Always reluctant to purchase a "HOME GYM" because I never felt multi`s were solid and each excercise would be decent. Just felt that the more attachments each machine had, the less adequate they would be. This unit is by far the best home gym you could own. Pack on the weight because it can hold it....Each station is SOLID and gives a great workout. ITs built well, smooth and quiet. OUt of curiosity I had another person use a station simultaneously with me and the unit DID NOT move! Not sure how three people would be but who cares, I work out alone :) This unit is well worth the money. I searched for the longest and glad I decided on this one. Good luck!

Excellent machine. However, it needs hand grips for the leg extention. There is nothing to hold on to. Don`t even try usng the ab cruncher. It is only put together on one side which results in a very "herky-jerky" type feel that puts more pressure on your neck than anywhere else. The leg extention cannot be adjusted and ends up almost at your kneecaps; not allowing for a full pump or extention. Good machine, but look to have to buy at least 10 45lb. plates. This will tack on additional expenses.

I just began using this machine. It`s the best combination of free weights and machines I`ve seen. I left free weights years ago because of the dangers. I`ve owned a Norditrac Gold and Bowflex. This machine tops them both. I now use the Bowflex to warm up with. Anyway, this machine has made me feel sorry I ever had to leave free weights. I noticed the big difference already in muscle gain. The only problems I have is it doesn`t come with a video to show you how to use the machine like other home gyms do. Plus it could be designed better for a taller person. Being 6` 2" with long legs, the seat for the leg extention could come up a little higher. My ankles almost hit the ground even when I set this seat to the highest level. The squat station, although it`s smooth and sturdy, I have to stoop almost in a squat position so I can get under the handlebars. This is when the handlebar is set at it`s highest level. However, I can easily adjust these two issues. Overall, its the ideal gym for someone who wants to gain real muscle strength in a safe way.

Superb piece of equipment and a great center piece for your home gym. Excellent build quality and easy to assemble. My only complaint is that there is nothing to "hook" your feet on while doing decline bench - so you slide down the seat. Otherwise terrific.

I have been going to the gym for years. Became fed up of queuing in the gym to use smith machine etc. So, last summer I bought one of these excellent machines. As Drew has stated, it really doesnt get any better, this machine is so easy to use and you can really load it up for some big lifting and this can be done safely. I could not recommend this more highly for a home gym for big lifting...worth every penny and I am one very happy owner - well done Powertec!!
