The System includes weight storage, angled chin up bars and a bushing driven, ultra smooth lat section providing all high and low cable exercises. The Powertec Workbench Rack system is very versatile and allows the user to go from decline, to flat, to incline to military press. A special adjustment on the bench allows the user to get back far enough to be in proper position to lift off for incline benches without assistance of a spotter. The bench also pulls out easily from the rack to allow for squats, etc... and the bench can be used away from the rack to perform dummbell exercises. Absolutely love this set up. The cable is very smooth, I don`t have any rubbing issues, probably because I purchased mine in 9/08, after the part was replaced. I recommend this to anyone looking for a home gym.
i love everything about this machine
As the other reviews say, this is a well built machine. However, there is a problem when using the optional lat tower with this setup. The bracket that holds the bench in place is directly in the way of the cable on the lower pulley and the cable rubs it no matter how you use it. This will eventually result in the cable breaking. I bought my setup a year ago and contacted powertec immediately. They told me that they were working on a replacement bracket and I would get it as soon as possible. I called again a year later May, 1 2008 and was told that the brackets would be available next week.
I am also amazed how well-built this system really is. I have never been fond of a home Gym but with a new baby I barely have the time to hit the Gym, this system has really changed my philosophy of home Gyms. My work outs are just as good, I can work out at any time and I don`t have to wait for a bench! The lat tower option makes it more versatile and well worth to add on. I am completely pleased & satisfied!!
This system is perfect. Bigfitness got it out to me in about a week, as described. The system was easy to assemble and I could not be any happier with it., I have only had it for a week but I love it.
This is a FANTASTIC system. Extremely versatile and amazingly well-built. I can do every exercise that I used to do at the gym and more. The lat tower option is a worthwhile addition. The extended lower rack supports are perfectly sized for "spotting" both squats and bench press. I love this bench!
